FINAL ITC's CLASS

Imagen
Good day my viewers, This is my last post until the end of exams and I switch off for a while. I will keep posting here and on twitter and instagram. Finally, in this last post I wanted to collect all the various activities that I have been doing throughout my studies in the Master's course on the use of ICTs and other resources for bilingual teaching in primary education. It has been a pleasure to enjoy this experience and to have discovered so many new resources to use in the classroom. In the end, what I will keep is the discovery that Francisco made me of Plickers, in the times in which we live, it helped me a lot in the classroom. Thanks for all! T.C.

Hey, have you read my last post? If you haven't stop reading and click here .                               ... All right, If you still here I am so happy to present you the video that my peers and I recorded inspired from the storyboard that I uploaded in the last post. The video It is called THE SPANISH IMPERIALISM.   The video was recorded with chroma key and we appeared in costume. In th e sequence we told the basic information about each king and his reign. In the video we appear characterised as the Habsburgs. In th e sequence appear Charles I, Philip II, Philip III, Philip IV and Charles II.  Afterwards, this video was edited with the Filmora programme to change the background for an image of the period. It was an entertaining and inspiring project and we had a lot of fun. If you are planning to make a video with chroma key, we think it is recommended when using chroma key to use all dark or black colours, avoiding green or light colours as much as possible.  HEY HEY HEY How is going everything? Welcome again to my new post! In this section, I am going to show up an amazing storyboard that I have made with my Master's peers. In that case, we started with the goal and content to begin creating. The goal from the (from BOCM): - The student know some important facts the reings of Charles I, Philiph II and Philip IV. The content, that this Storyboard is based, is (from BOCM): - Spain in the Modern Age. XVI &XVII centuries. The reign of the House of Austria. In this case, we have chosen the Spanish Imperior. Why It is a commonly topic at schools.  With the storyboard our students can the students can internalise the topic more easily, in a visual way, and can also follow the unit easily. In the next post, you will see a video creation inspired in this Storyboard. See you there! TC

PODCAST

Imagen
Hi everyone again! The next post is related to podcasts and how to bring them into our classrooms as another resource for CLIL subjects. This time I have chosen the topic of herbivores, omnivores and carnivores, which is being taught in the second year of primary education.  The subject will be presented as if it were a Flipped Classroom, as the students will have a video and some questions to answer before starting with the scheduled sessions. Through this methodology we manage to respect the students' learning time and make the most of the learning time, making the students an active subject in the natural sciences class. trench coat In the different sessions, they will work in interactive groups on the three main groups and will make a MINDMAP to organise the information on the subject and an outline to organise their dialogue in the podcast. The latter will be done through their tablets with the voice recorder and uploaded to the IVOOX website. All voice files of the project

Which I choose for my CLIL lessons?

Good day!!! How is it going?   In the following post, I am going to show you how I would use a Slideshow to teach CLIL content in a lively, visual and fun way to our students. There are many platforms to make presentations. But the best known are Genial.ly, Canva, Google slices, Prezi or Powerpoint. Genial.ly  is the one that I have used to create my presentation about the  plants . I am currently teaching this unit in my internship. So I want to share it with all of you! Personally, it is not one of my favourites. But it is at first glance attractive for the teacher who will use it and the pupil who interacts with it. The presentation is at the bottom of this post  or clicking on it . Personally, it is not one of my favourites. But it is at first glance attractive for both the teacher who will use it and the pupil who interacts with it. And the main reason why I don't like it is that it doesn't let you reuse presentations from other colleagues if you are not premium. What do y

How to create a comic

Imagen
Hello Everyone!  What do you think about bringing proposals to the primary classroom, why not create a comic with them integrating CLIL and emotions ? In the following post I am going to show you which page I have used to create a simple comic. It is called storyboardthat . I have used it in free mode and it has let me put a maximum of 6 vignettes. It's quite an interesting tool as it allows you to place: - Characters (of different ages) ... ... and customize every part of their body like color, position and pose. - Places like school, gym, trsnport, village, city... - Text (speech bubbles) to introduce the dialogue - Add objects and pictures Features In my case, I started to create with Pixton, which had more realistic and attractive graphics for students, but it was completely paid and did not let you save the result. That's why I chose storyboardthat, because although it is limited, it allows you to create and use its tools. I would recommend this website for creating comics

Infographics

Hi there, back to the routine after Easter holidays? As I told you in the last post, I bring you one more resource that will help us to continue teaching in our 6th grade class about the climates in Europe. In this case I present the infographic. This resource will help us when explaining this topic to our students. T he  infographic  contains the content in a visual and colourful way. With images that accompany the information in the text and help in its comprehension. The websites where you can create them are  Data Wrapper, iCharts, Infografz, Tableau, BeFunky, Genially,  Vizualize, Visme, I nfogram, Canva, Easel.ly and others. And the one I have chosen is Canva. It is the one I ha ve been using during my time as a student and now as a teacher and it is one of the most useful tools to create content. This is my final result with this  program :  As you can see, it is possible to create wonders like this infographic. But you can also edit photos, create collages, labels, schedules, l
